New Tomita CD Arrived!

I ordered a couple of CDs from Amazon in Japan and wow are they fast! 2 days delivery time!

I got a copy of Tomita’s Claire de Lune – Ultimate Edition. It’s an SACD with (I think) 5.1 mixes of his Snowflakes Are Dancing album. I’m only listening in stereo so far but it sounds amazing. The sound quality is fantastic! More lows and highs and all perfectly clean. So far my favorite is the hypnotic Nuages, the last track on the CD. I can’t even imagine how you would record a piece like this on your own.

I don’t listen to music much these days but now that I am, I can see I have a long way to go before coming anywhere close to what Tomita did!!

I also got Senri Kawaguchi’s first CD that was just released today (her birthday), A La Mode. I haven’t listened yet but I’m sure it’ll be awesome.

I also ordered the Korg Monotron Duo, so it should be arriving in a few days!
